The dhcpd.conf file that DHCPD-Server used is defined in the script /etc/init.d/dhcpd. I think you should use /etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf.# processname: dhcpd# config: /etc/dhcp/dhcpd.co... [by ourfirst]
I'm running Sl-6 and tried using the default sample configuration for /etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf that comes with the distro, no luck. Tried using a configuration that I found on an online howto and still no luck. Ran "chmod -R 777 /etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf" and still no good. Tried both "service dhcpd restart" and "/etc/init.d/dhcpd restart" and both commands failed.
I need to make my a DHCP server on Fedora 11 and when I configure the dhcpd.conf and try to start the server it says this error. "Not searching LDAP since ldap-server, ldap-port and ldap-base-dn were not specified in the config file". Please help me out.
Hi all. I've got a multihomed firewall/dhcp/dns centos server that is called my portal. It sits on 192.168.1.254. I basically have the modem coming in on eth0 and eth1 going into my LAN using my dlink router as a switch (i turned off dhcp there).
