The company, natch, has a logo.

If you for whatever reason dislike OpenOffice.org’s logo or want to gain an extra few seconds of speed while the application loads, you can disable OO.o’s logo by editing the
/etc/openoffice/sofficerc
file and modifying the
Logo=1
value into
Logo=0
I want to change the penguin logo that appears on boot. I looked into it and found this command:
pngtopnm nelogo.png | ppmquant -fs223| pnmtoplainpnm > logo_linux_clut224.ppm
But when I tried it I got this error message:
unrecognized option `-fs223'
pnmtoplainpnm: EOF / read error reading magic number
What did I do wrong? How can I replace the boot logo?

Hello,
I am so confused I changed out my xperia play motherboard out due to the lack of touch functionality on two different digitizers. The screen worked fine along with everything except usb data transfer and touch functionality. So I changed the motherboard and confirmed that all ribbons are in locked into place and now no boot logo/ android logo at boot up.
Just got my 8x yesterday, just made the switch over from Android. Loving it so far. I only have one small complaint so far, from every picture I saw before I got the phone, there was an HTC logo under the speaker. I was a little disappointed when I opened the box and saw the plain black bezel because I liked the way the pictures looked. Do some phones have the logo and some don't?
