From LinuxBSDos.com.The Software Development Kit (SDK) and preview installation images for Ubuntu Touch have been released. Ubuntu Touch is the umbrella name for Ubuntu for Phone and Ubuntu for Tablets. Both platforms were released this year, with the latter coming just a few days ago.
This is a developer preview release for the code-happy to mess with.
Following the Ubuntu Touch Developer Preview announcement, installation instructions were published to easily install it on supported devices.
These instructions require an Ubuntu machine as a host device to run the flashing tools. How can developers and testers running other platforms, such as Windows, flash their test tablets or phones?
In the video and the introduction page of ubuntu phone

I'm a Web Developer and also Ubuntu user for some time. Ubuntu is my favorite and only one distribution I use. I work with Debian also but Debian is the best for server and Ubuntu for Desktop and laptop. Sad thing for me that I still need to use Windows just only because There is no chance to install Adobe CS5.5 package on Ununtu. I tried with Wine but I wasn't successful.
I am interested in trying the new Ubuntu for Phone OS Development. (I am not an Ubuntu developer, I am new to Ubuntu. Impressed by the Ubuntu Phone OS preview i got interested to start enjoy the development ).
Where can i start with it. I can't get any guidance in Ubuntu site.
Anybody has tried it, so please guide.
Thanks.

I am a Java SE/EE developer on a Windows (7 at the moment) and I suffer a lot of slow eclipse, loading, viruses a few times, the length of the overall system
in your opinion, it will be more efficient and faster to work with Ubuntu Linux
because I only use tools that work in both platforms
thank you
