http://permalink.gmane.org – Hi, While a good number of our contributors was in Gran Canaria at the beginning of the month, some people were at home working hard to complete some features for GNOME 2.28. And we'll see the results of this hard work in the next release! Oh, and I'm not implying the people who attended the Desktop Summit/GUADEC didn't work hard -- they certainly had a hard time with all the ice cream! Also please note that this milestone marks the beginning of the feature freeze. This is a good time to start summarizing what has changed in your modules in this cycle, so that people can work on the release notes! Please make sure that your tarballs will be uploaded before Monday 23:59 UTC: tarballs uploaded later than that will probably be too late to get in 2.27.5. If you are not able to make a tarball before this deadline or if you think you'll be late, please send a mail to the release team and we'll find someone to roll the tarball for you! Oopsie. Looks like the magic reminder mail that was supposed to be sent to the release team wasn't sent :-) But we noticed it, and more surprisingly, we noticed it before Monday! Yep: release team people are really incredible, aren't they? Actually, this was not a question; it's simply the universal truth. You can't reject it. You all love the release team members. Don't deny this.

Another week, another release ! 2.29.90 tarballs are due next Monday. Be aware that we are entering UI freeze territory now.

Tarballs are due on 2010-02-08 before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME 2.29.90 beta release, which will be delivered on Wednesday. Modules which were proposed for inclusion should try to follow the unstable schedule so everyone can test them.

The 2.28.0 stable release is just a few days ahead! Time to celebrate! No, no, not yet! First, let's make sure we roll the final/stable/perfect tarballs for all our modules! After that, then, yes, we can all celebrate the result of our hard work in the last 6 months!
