Hello all: I have updated from 16 to 17 and many things do not work any more! devede, gnomemplayer vlcplayer. When I try to update the above I recieve a large string of missing/errors/dependencies. Here is the print out. Where do I start to resolve this issue/issues.
I don't seem to be able to find devede binaries in the linuxtech repo as of today. Anyway, the maintainer is known as me... [by toracat]
DeVeDe, an authoring software with accessible options to create Video DVDs and CDs (VCD, sVCD or CVD), suitable for home players, is now at version 3.23.0.DeVeDe 3.23.0 comes with some important modifications and a couple of new features, but there is nothing that stands out.Highlights of DeVeDe 3.23.0:• Support for AVConv (the new FFMpeg conversion utility) has been added;• Fallback opt
To save others time, be advised at the moment, one should not use the linuxtech repository to install DeVeDe due to a version mismatch explained in this thread:-
im having trouble with DeVeDe.
its only creating and converting one movie to an iso image ready to be burned.
when i want to create multiple movies to one dvd disk.
im trying to create a DVD with four different movie titles. i also make sure i click the button to make sure it all fits to a 4.7GB DVD disk.
ive used devede many times before, on my old laptop.
I have just upgraded from F9 to F11. There are a lot of problems I appear to be having with dependencies.
yum update produces the following (the bits before appear ok):
Code:
Processing Dependency: libslapd_db-4.4.so()(64bit) for package: openldap-debuginfo
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
The disk i have cannot store the file i am trying to burn, because, it's to big. Thus, I need to make it so that it splits it on to 2 disks, or more, however many it needs.
The problem is, how to i get devede to do that? i cant find an option whioch allows me to do that
Linux Journal: "DeVeDe is an application that converts various video file formats into a disc that can be played in a DVD player. Other applications and tool chains can be coaxed into doing this but DeVeDe has the advantage of being a dedicated utility that has been designed for a single function."
