Hi, I just installed 11.2 and need to switch the order of the device selection for my sound card. I need to use /dev/dsp as my primary otherwise my sound does not work.

Hi,After following Arch Wiki for configuring Alsa I added the following to my /etc/asound.conf:efaults.pcm.card 0
defaults.ctl.card 0This works on my current session. However, sometimes when I reboot my computer, my primary sound card that my speakers are connected to, becomes card 1 and I have to update this setting to get my sound card working.
I just upgraded my sound card to an Asus Xonar DG. Under "playback devices" it recognizes the card, and the volume meter to the right displays that there is sound coming out of the device. My headphones are plugged into the new card itself, yet I'm not hearing any sound.
I have been working on this issue for several days now and still cannot get my sound card to work. Basically, I have a Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D sound card installed in a PCI slot and I am unable to play any sound through it. Note that I have the on board sound disabled in the BIOS. Also, it is my understanding that this sound card is supported as of kernel 3.5.
When I turn on a bluetooth headset paired with my phone, it automatically sets the headset as the primary sound output device so that calls/music play through the headset without me having to manually configure anything.
I have one strange problem with my sound card. Namely, I have Asus Xonar Essence ST sound card and until today card worked perfectly with awesome crystal sound. But, today I plugged in my external Genius speakers (they were turned on) to my sound card. On the end of sound cable I had electric signal before I plugged in my speakers to sound card.
