As a follow up to last week’s Xperia P Ice Cream Sandwich rollout, Sony Mobile today announced their 2011 Xperia line of phones will be getting new Android 4.0.4 firmware. Starting this week, the first phones to receive the update are the Xperia arc, Xperia arc S, Xperia neo, Xperia neo V, Xperia mini, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Xperia ray.
I'm About to buy Xperia Ray :D

1.How to Root (Using Downgrade Method or what? *Locked Bootloader* )
2.Any Major Issues on Ray?
3.How the Performance?

Today, Sony began rolling out an update to Ice Cream Sandwich for the Xperia P, Xperia U, Xperia go and Xperia sola devices that’ll come packed with ‘bug fixes’ and ‘performance tweaks.’ It’s unclear what exactly those tweaks are, but who among us doesn’t like a little tweaking?
The update to the firmware includes improvements to:
Stability
WiFi
Tetheri
Owners of Sony’s Xperia S phones may be interested in a couple root methods that have been developed for the handsets. The methods get around the locked bootloader of the Xperia S.
Over on the XDA Developer forums, member Sharaz22 has developed a “long” method to root the Xperia S. The method uses several batch files and then users complete some operations on Flashtool.

Hi everybody, i post here working and small ftf file with latest Android 4.0.4 for Sony Ericsson XPERIA Mini Pro.
I know, that there are other roms with these version firmware here, but this is O2 CZ customization and it is without any bloatware app, which cannot be removed without root. I used it for some time and it is very fast. You doesnt need unlocked bootloader to install it.

Hello.
I tried to root my Sony Xperia Sola with Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v9 however whenever i try to restore backup named RootMe phone says - Could not Restore- reconnect external memory and try again. Than phone restarts and says all done, however whn I try to install ClockworkMod Recovery it says that phone is not rooted correctly. How can I fix this?
