I made a script that should be run only on HP servers, and I need to know, is current server is HP or not. Is any way to obtain this info?

Is it possible to determine who is using a particular NIS server from the NIS server?
I have inherited a network of about 100 Linux systems. There were 3 different domains I want to consolidate into 1. I could log into each of the 100 systems to see which NIS server it is reporting to but I'd rather just login to the 3 NIS servers and see who is using that server. Is this possible?
