Stories similar to desire hd camera not working

I'm running CM7.2 with the stock CM kernel and no CPU tweaks.

About a week ago my camera just up and stopped working, "Activity camera (in application camera) is not responding".

I've recently replace the LCD on the my vibrant and since then I can't get the camera working. I touch the icon, lhe camera app load with a black screen. I have Odin back to stock still the same problem.. So I've purchased a camera and installed and I have the same problem.

Is there anything else I could do?

Hello fellow xda members,

Today I was flashing my i9000 from android 4.0.4 (team ICSSGS) To CM10. Camera was not working too well at the 4.0.4, (this was the main reason to flash to CM10.

After flashing CM10 it gave immediate "camera not responding" messages when opening the camera. So then i flashed back to android 2.3.5 XXJVT.

i have a new sensation xe. but whenever i press the camera app, it crashes down n the camera doesnt work n im sent back to home screen. what should i do. i even restartes many times. i also do 3-4 times factory reset , but nothing help me out. still my htc sense z715e both camera's not working. Last week i upgraded to ics.

I am on cm9.1 FXP 205 and mesa hybrid kernel 3.5 on Live with Walkman and my camera is not working properly. I get a black screen with all the ui of camera app and when I touch the blue button the pic is taken but I couldn't see anything while I was taking the pic. I tried recording videos but it forced closes or shows not responding . I also tried other apps but got the same result.

Unable To Use Main Camera! 6 weeks 4 days ago

So I bought this broken HTC EVO 4G LTE on ebay and seller described that the phone fell of his pocket while riding a motorcycle and so the glass and digitizer broke (which doesn't matter for now), he also said that the Main/Rear camera stop working after a week of the accident.

Hey Guys, Do any of u know of a working Android 4.2 camera for the Xperia Arc S (on racing bean rom v2.0.1/jellybean 4.1.2)? I currently have it on my phone, though all the screen shows me is flashing lights, buttons do work but again it does not display anything. I would really appreciate it, thank you for your help :)

I'm running Dev's 3/20 version of CM9 which does not support front facing camera, and then accidentally switched to the front facing camera. Now I cannot switch back to back camera because the camera app has a black screen and then crashes whenever I open it. Clearing the Cache doesn't help. I really don't want to have to wipe everything and reinstall the ROM.
