Maybe this can help: http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/ticket/2148 So maybe the twisted version 12 in /extra causes the problem?

Hi everyone, I have in the past been able to download torrents with transmission from TPB in the past but they changed there site a bit and now they don't have the ".torrent" files that I always used to download torrents. When I try to just use the magnet links on TPB it just opens a extra google chrome browser (the web browser i use) but doesn't download the torrent.
Using ntfs with linux is not the best of ideas, specially for anything else than sporadic access. The problem is probably caused by something deluge tries to use, maybe sparse files for preallocation or some other feature supported by a linux native filesystem.

Not sure when something changed to cause this. Deluge used to work just swimmingly for me.I'm not getting any errors from the program itself although I'll post the console output that might shed light. Basically though I have no data transmission for torrents.
Well, it's not a MUST to have an open port to use a torrent client AFAIK. Check if your deluge port is really open: http://www.canyouseeme.org/

One of the ways you can help users install Fedora 12 is to first help them get the iso's. Tonight, when I looked for a mirror to download from I realized that the direct download was going to be slow, so I looked at the torrents. It actually took me less time to download from a torrent then it would have if I downloaded directly from a mirror.
hadrons123 wrote:jrussell wrote:After rebooting my PC with transmission running, transmission will say: "Error: no data found! Ensure your drives are connected or use "Set Location". To re-download, remove the torrent and re-add it"For every torrent.I think it may have something to do with the download and temp directory for transmission being on a second HDD.
So there is a directory full of torrent files:
debian.iso.torrent
fedora.iso.torrent
I can start downloading them with a:
rtorrent *.torrent
command, when the working directory is the same where the torrents are.
But. Every time when I start rtorrent in this way it calculates all the hashes..it takes looong time do to that and it's a cpu intensive thing.
Hi
This is something I've never thought about asking. I don't directly connect to the internet as I'm behind a proxy but I can still download torrents. I didn't set my access passwords and proxy server inside my torrent client (Deluge BitTorrent) but it still works
Why is that?
Thnx
