I currently have a studio 1735 laptop.
when i ordered, i didn't really think ahead. and now, i realize i need bluetooth.
i could just go out to futureshop or somehwere and get a adaptor.
but i travel a lot, so an adaptor is inconvineant.
i searched around and found these cards
I have a new HP Envy dv6-7315tx laptop. I installed Ubuntu 12.10 (64 bit), which went smoothly after switching the BIOS to legacy mode, and has completely replaced Windows. However, there are no proprietary drivers listed in jockey at all, and the WiFi/bluetooth card doesn't work.
Hi I have ubuntu 12.04.2 amd64 installed on a dell inspiron n5010 and want to know how to confirm the bluetooth is turned off.
Today I acquired a Dell XPS 1645. Ubuntu seems to run alright on it however The bluetooth is not detected and the WiFi doesn't work. The WiFi is especially weird because I actually have the restricted driver enabled for it. It also worked for a short while when I first booted into Ubuntu however now there isn't even an option to enable wireless.
I know my laptop has a bluetooth card in it, but I don't know what make or model... Ubuntu even says "Stopping bluetooth" on shutdown.
But for some reason, it won't detect any bluetooth cards or let me enable bluetooth.
Help please? Thanks!
I'm sorry I nearly forget the post!
I have a DELL D505 with 1.5gb ram, can you tell me if ubuntu 9.10 will install straight out the box or do I need to be prepared and get specific drivers for sound, video, bluetooth, wireless network card, network card, touchpad, usb, pcmcia card, firewire, infrared, etc.
Hey there, I can't seem to get Bluetooth working on my HP Pavilion dv3500 laptop.
It would seem the wireless card and bluetooth are one and the same (if thats possible.) This is because the button which I swipe to switch on wireless also switches on bluetooth and switches it off if I swipe it again (its one of those touch sensitive light buttons).
I have a Dell Latitude E6520 which is a Ubuntu 12.04 certified hardware. However the driver assigned to the Dell Wireless 5630 (EVDO-HSPA) Mobile Broadband Mini-Card doesn't seem to work.
When I boot in Windows 7 I connect to Verizon dialing *99# with no username or password but it won't connect using Ubuntu. The windows drivers are from Novatel Wireless Inc 1.0.0.6 if that helps.
