I am trying to get a new 120gb ssd drive to work, but bios won't recognize it?
The old drive was 80gb sata.
The bios is latest 2.7.0 and I am trying to boot to install Windows 2012 Server.

I just bought an SSD drive for my Vista (32bit) box (120GB OCZ Agility 3). Unfortunately windows vista won't display it in the my computer window, and generally wont let me work on it. However, the bios recognizes the SSD drive correctly, and when I go on the windows device manager the drive is there as well.
have an Dell Optiplex GX280 with 4 SATA drives, 2 connected to the motherboard, and 2 connected to a Rosewill RC-212 VIA PCI SATA 1.5G / IDE ATA 133 Controller Card. After a crash and a re-install of Ubuntu 9.1, drive 1 on the Rosewill card didn't appear in the places menu, but Disk utility showed the drive unrecognized.
I'm in over my head and could use a little help. When I first attempted to install my new HD in place of the old one under windows 8 pro it simply recognized it in bios but would not show up to make a "new simple volume". After reformating the drive in windows (probably the big mistake) and restarting as asked the comp crashed.
