All my other emails, including "Mail" on my Android 4.2 phone, have a sync setting "do not remove messages when deleted from the server", or similar.
But I can find no such setting on my Note 10.1 2014. Sync is either ON or OFF. I'm using POP3.
My Roadrunner mail only gives me 100MB of server storage, so I have to keep purging it so it doesn't get full.

This may be due to a case (non-)sensitivity issue. I have two subfolders on the mail server called "Spam" and "spam". On the mail server (Dovecot), these are directories ".INBOX.Spam" and ".INBOX.spam".
