Hi everbody, I will be installing openSUSE to sda. I also have an identical pair of 1TB drives (sdb, sdc) that I want to run as a RAID1. One of them (sdb) already has data on it that will be mirrored.
My question is, if I tell the installer to make them a RAID1, will it delete the data on sdb? Obviously that would not be very fun. :(
Cheers.
I have had my S IIII, AT&T, for a few weeks. Since I am on wireless most of the day, I have the 200M data plan.
My phone has started going nuts with data.
most of my usage is from something called Delete Apps, which is using 10-15M per day. The strange part is that this only shows under Data Usage. It is not an app, and it does not show up anywhere in the application manager.
Hi,
I am very new in shell scripting. Have managed to prepare a script which will work to download data to local directory. But facing below problem. :wall:
Please help me out. Thanks in advance.
Problem:
1. I am unable to use delete command to delete data in the ftp location (I have permission to delete).
2.
I want to sell two hard drives. Both have been used in a software RAID5 with a logical volume manager.
I want to delete all data in order to sell them. But on the devices are no partitions.
Is it necessary to clean the drives? Are there any data saved on the drives? And if so, what is the action I need to take to delete all data from the drives?
Just installed a fresh copy of Arch and added Gnome-shell to it, only to come across this problem (which wasn't an issue - but now is!)Default behaviour should be as it was:- Del key = move to waste basket- SHIFT+Del = delete permanentlyThis works because SHIFT+Del is not an easy combination to hit (therefore not so easy to completely delete your data), while Del is a quick and simple action.
Deleting files/directories is done by selecting them and pressing F8 or Delete. By default it will be moved to Trash. ............ Shift+Delete will delete the file permanently.
It is not working for me on ubuntu PP. I want to delete to trash with DELETE and permanently with SHIFT+DELETE. How to make it work?
I am getting this error trying to install an app. Checking it, it shows I have 125mb free. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Also, I have this great app called Mega Player. Its a video downloader with a browser. Can download most any video off internet. However, It is now taking up 600MB, and shows that 99% of that is from Data, not the app itself.
how do I delete mail set-up data I have tried to install Thunderbird in the past but it hasn’t setup properly I've got server info in and it comes up with the input page but won't send, now I'd like to go to Evolution to use calendar and tasks and I'm hoping it does IRC
We have an internal server where we work on with 3 users.
It is running ubuntu with apache mysql proftpd
We often have permission errors. Sometimes we can't overwrite files but we can delete them etc.
What would be a good way to set this up.
Who should be the owner of the files? (currently www-data:www-data).
The 3 users need to be able to delete, write and read files from the webfolders.
