We heard they could be delayed, but it looks like everything is a go because Verizon just announced the DROID RAZR HD and the DROID RAZR HD MAXX will hit stores next Thursday, October 18. The DROID RAZR HD will cost $199 and the DROID RAZR HD MAXX will run you $299.
Motorola unveiled two special devices this afternoon in New York City. The flagship of the two by far is the DROID RAZR MAXX HD, which comes with an HD (1280 x 720) display. It has the same 3300mAh battery found on the original RAZR MAXX, but the screen size is bigger at 4.7-inches.
The DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD launched on Verizon this past Thursday. We already did an initial hands on of the DROID RAZR HD and now it’s time for the bigger brother, the DROID RAZR MAXX HD. I say bigger brother, but I have to be honest, you can barely tell the difference between the two devices.
It was a year ago when the RAZR was resurrected from the dead as the DROID RAZR, the thinnest smartphone in the world. If that wasn’t enough, a couple of months later, Motorola shocked the world again with the DROID RAZR MAXX that sported an unprecedented 3300mAh battery in an 8.99mm body, a feat that no other manufacturer has been able to match.
Motorola's Droid Razr Maxx is a power-packed follow-up to the company's Droid Razr handset, says this eWEEK review. Now available on Verizon Wireless, the 4.3-inch RazrMaxx zips along with a 1.2GHz, dual-core processor and 4G LTE, and positively astounds with its 3300mAh, all-day battery....
Two days ago we reported that Verizon was sending out texts to the DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX owners that an update to Ice Cream Sandwich was looming and just around the corner. And today, an ICS build running on the RAZR has leaked with the build number of 6.16.211.
Well, i know that it's a little bit dreamer, but, i'm prepparing me if in one moment, this trade up comes up to Argentina.
I don't think it does, but, dream costs nothing.

My friend is about to get a cell phone but isn't sure what to get. She is looking at the $200 range with a contract and she for sure wants the RAZR line. The question is simple though; which one?
I have the Droid RAZR Maxx HD and absolutely love it. The battery is great and even better than my RAZR Maxx I had before hand. However, this is $100 out of her range.
I have a dilemma, I am up for an upgrade and I have decide if the Droid Razr Maxx or the Droid Razr HD Maxx is worth the wait & extra money. I currently have a Droid Bionic so either will be a step up, but I am wondering if anyone has any ideas about this. The only real difference I can find is the pixel number, which is quite significant, but had anyone else heard anything?
