I've just installed Fedora 17 a coupple days ago.
I set language and region to be english for 'system' and I occasionally set them to be Japanese for 'user'.
Problem is that the keyboard mapping is changed to the one for Japanese but the language toggle key doesn't switch the languages properly: always English mode.

Since the recent upgrade to Iceweasel 18.0 apparently it does not accept the german language package (although it is installed correctly). So i installed the language package helper add-on (2.31) and tried to choose in its panel german as a language. In some way the download seems to fail but the iceweasel session changes to german anyway.

So I have a Galaxy note 2 (canadian) and under my language and input section I only have french and english although I want german. I tried several ''set language'' apps and they barely modify the language. Pretty much only the date in the widgets and some app titles have changed and thats it.
I have been using Ubuntu 11.04 until yesterday when I decided to install new 12.04 from a fresh install. I like changing system language interface from my primary language (Galician) to English when logging, in order to practice this language, but in the new lightdm I cannot see how. Is it possible?
Some recent update has caused my Thunderbird (14.0 on Ubuntu 12.04) to revert to an English-language user interface. It used to be German before.
My system is completely in German. German language support is fully installed in System Settings. thunderbird-locale-de is installed as well.
I'm trying to change the language for a standard user account.
With the administrator account, I installed a new language by going to system settings > language support > install / remove languages. Then I logged in to the standard account, and moved the new language to the top by dragging it with the mouse. And then I reseted the machine and logged back in. But nothing changed.

I just installed openSUSE 11.3 (Gnome). I am using Korean language, but I don't want to make Korean language as my default language.
So I installed Korean lang as secondary language. It works well.
I have a primary language, Italian, and I want also use a secondary language, English.
I want to switch language in order to have all the writings and messages in English not to write special characters by keyboard.
