I have a issue with Plesk to set the right path for a subdomain for a subdomain of a domain alias.
The structure I have:
domain.nl (Head domain)
*.domain.nl (wilcard subdomain) (points to: '/public_html/s')
domain.com (alias for domain.nl)
It's not really possible to create a wildcard subdomain for the 'domain.com(alias of domain.nl) like I did for the '.domain.nl' wildcard subdomain.
I upgraded a server with a Rails application to Ubuntu 12.04 from 10.04 and cannot connect to Postgresql database now...
Here is the error message from Rails app:
could not connect to server: No such file or directory Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/var/run/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432"
Also the pg_ctl start is not recognized as a command.
EDIT:

My domain account has access to our MS-SQL server where the database resides, so I never experienced this issue.
When I gave the Access .mdb file to one of our regular users, he was unable to use the file without logging in. I created an account on the database before setting the Access file up and entered the username and password I setup, but it hasn't saved it.
I have: - two DNS servers: 1.1.1.1 and 2.2.2.2 - domain name: domain.com pointed to 1.1.1.1
I want to point sub domain: sub.domain.com to 2.2.2.2 (obviously www.sub.domain.com too)
on 1.1.1.1 I've create a DNS A record pointing sub.domain.com to 2.2.2.2
accessing sub.domain.com now lead to 2.2.2.2 successfully
the problem is the DNS records on 2.2.2.2 such as CNAME www do not work means access
I have a website on a subdomain of one site example:securityplus.domain.com and I need it my new domain name: jgnetworksecurity.com display correctly in the address bar with all the files and folders after it. like so:
jgnetworksecurity.com/wp/archives/sept2012 ...
installArchives() failed: Selecting previously unselected package speedcrunch.

I read through some guides on this and I believe it is possible to have apache respond to a subdomain through ssl. I have domain.com responding on 80 and I do not need domain.com responding on 443.
I have a reseller account with hostgator, which means i have WHM and Cpanel. I have set up a staging environment for one of my wordpress installations (client website), which is essentially sitting at staging.domain.com (live site is at domain.com). The staging website is a complete copy of the live website and utilises a different database.
A client currently has emails such as:
user@uk.domain.com
they have these two A records (among others, to different IPs):
uk.domain.com
mail.domain.com
pointing to the same IP address.
There is only one mx record - domain.com --> mail.domain.com
I believe they are on an exchange at the moment, whether that makes any difference.
I am to transfer control of mail to our own server, which i
