Ubuntu Tweak, not an option for Opacity of the Top Panel.
I was theming my crunchbang and just realized I need two themes. I have one that is very bright, and it kills my eyes when I am in a dark room, and I used to have a very dark theme, but I couldn't see it when my laptop is in the sun... So I need a switch in my menu to change the themerc, gtkrc and nitrogen. How should I do this? I kinda don't know where to start.
Clean install - Ubuntu 12.04, Gnome classic
Compiz's opacity effect (move mouse away from window, it becomes transparent so that I can see the window(s) below) works. But it does not start automatically, despite ticking the box in the opacity section to make it do so.
Every session I have to open the compiz settings manager, go do opacity, untick start automatically, and then re-tick.
Hi,
I have just registered on this forum. I have an Asus TF 101 and a SE X10i, they are both rooted but running (for the moment) standard ICS and GB. I love customizing and theming my Android devices and have been doing this almost from day 1. Therefore I am always looking for forums that can feed my hunger for themes and custom roms.

hi,
i'm still experiencing a hugly Firefox eg.
The gtk theming seems to be broken since quite a long time. Did I missed a workaround/solution ?
Thanks !
Hello everyone, I want to make some themes for the Motion, but I am more used to Gingerbread as far as theming goes. Could someone tell me how different Gingerbread SystemUI and Framework-res is to ICS? As in battery icons, etc, etc.
So I started creating a theme last night, upon testing I noticed I wasn't receiving popups on the screen from texts. They show up on the status bar, but they don't popup on the screen. The settings in messaging app has a check in the box for notification popup but it's not working. Does theming systemui or framework break this?
I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 and I'm not using Gnome mode.
I prefer to have most windows semi-transparent by default, so I set this in "Opacity, Brightness and Saturation" (CCSM):
type=Menu|PopupMenu|DropdownMenu|Combo|Dialog|ModalDialog|Utility|Tooltip|Notification Opacity=75
type=Normal Opacity=85
It works. However, a browser window looks wired with transparency.
Since Ubuntu 9.10, installing new login screen themes or changing the login window appearances is not as easy as before.
