Hi,Some months ago I got a Samsung SCX-3200 mono multifunction printer. I installed samsung unified driver from AUR I think it was v3 and printer worked. After the driver got updated to v4 I think my problems started. Sometimes when printing a document I only got pages with garbage characters in the first line on the whole page.
Hi,
I bought myself a Samsung ML-2165W Printer, installed Samsung Unified Printer Driver (followed instructions on http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=341621). Now my computer seems to recognize the printer, but happily just says 'Document is Printing on ML-2160-Series' and a bit later 'Printing Completed'.
i installed Fedora 18 (32 bit) and want to install a Samsung SCX-4623FH device (printer, scanner, fax).
fedora does not have its driver in its database. i downloaded the unified driver from samsung and install it. the scanner works fine but the printer get the error message:"/usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertosamsungspl failed".
Okay, I installed the printer driver, but I can't print anything, it just hangs up indefinitely. But it is recognizing it:nirjhor@chakra-pc ~/cdroot> lsusbBus 006 Device 003: ID 04e8:3301 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd
Ever since installing 11.3, my Samsung CLX-3175 laser mfp no longer prints. It worked fine under 11.2 using the Samsung proprietary unified driver. That driver no longer seems to work under 11.3. The print job never leaves the queue and the printer must be rebooted (it is a networked printer) to be recognized by the operating system after deleting the job.

So, my Samsung CLP-31x series printer stopped printing from Debian 6 applications. Closed source applications such as Chrome work, as does Foxit under Wine. Currently using the foo2qpdl CUPS driver. Tried Splix 2.0 from the website, nothing works, not even Foxit. Any ideas?
can't get the Samsung CLP-620ND printer that is on my local network to work. Using "system settings" app, it always installs as if it is a local printer, even though I selected "network printer." Also, when I tried to specify the URL address of the printer, Fedora still thought it was hooked to the local machine. Bah.
Has anyone gotten it to work?
My Samsung CLP315 printer has started giving the following error
