Greetings!!!
I have been running an Ubuntu 21.04 server for many months now. Recently the root started E-mailing me Apache logs. I did not make any changes to the system. Where could I go to see what has changed? I checked the CRON jobs and there is nothing in there to suggest sending me logs.
Thanks
I have just setup a Graylog2 server and I am looking to send all logs from my main server to the graylog server.
I installed freeswitch on a server (with centos).
I am developing an app that gets all the logs on the phone. I have completed call and sms logs. But I still need to get the logs of apps like whatsapp and viber. All of whatsapps logs seem to be encrypted. Can anyone pls tell me how to access these logs?
AFAIK applications in Ubuntu track activity and errors beyond what is covered by the "Privacy" setting. (Including, for example, login/logout/shutdown times.) Where are these logs stored?
Okay, I got it again on shutdown last night (it gets displayed on screen), but it doesn't appear in the logs. I do however have a segfault in the logs, that occurred during the shutdown process. The segfault was in xorg-launch-helper and the message was the first thing that occurred after X closed down. So yeah, I think I get it after segfaults, too.So, ignore my Cups comment above.
I have Canon LBP3300 printer and ubuntu 12.04.
I installed its driver by following instructions given on:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CanonCaptDrv190
that is Linux CAPT Printer Driver v2.40 English.
But now I am not getting any Page logs that are saved by CUPS,
but i need them to track the record
These page logs are saved in var/log/cups/page_log
IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET THESE PAGE LOGS
Due to compliance issues, there is a need to store all tomcat logs for at least 6 months on a central server.
Is there a way to send the logs to rsyslog server or any other mechanism that will accomplish the task.
My Ubuntu keeps sending out IGMP Query requests for following IPs: 239.255.255.255.253, 224.1.1.7 and 234.55.66.77. I figured this out from Wireshark. As per IGMP spec, I believe query requests are sent only by routers. So,
Why is my machine sending these packets (i.e. behaving like a router)?
Which process sends these packets? I checked there is no mrouted or XORP or Quagga installed.
