Unity and Cinnamon Desktops work properly, but Gnome Shell presents me with wallpaper and one of my startup apps with undecorated windows (e.g. no controls and title bar/borders).
Hey guys, im trying to get compiz working Asus transformer tf300t, i dont know if anyones familiar with the install process but its basically mounting a virtual image of a distro, in this case xubuntu.
I'm trying to get Compiz to work on GNOME 3.2. I sucessfully instlaled the compiz packages needed and logged out of GNOME shell and logged in with the option "Classic GNOME with Compiz"
I can get *some* compiz features working, however alot of the time when I enable/disable/change a plugin in compiz, it crashes, and I have to restart X to get my desktop back to a useable state.
Hello,
I have a done very few posts since I am with OpenSuse 11.1.
I have upgraded to Gnome 2.6 and use compiz-fusion from X11:XGL repo.
For a while (I don't know how long), I don't see the expo, applicaiton ring/cover switcher,etc...
Other plugins work with no problem.
As you can see, I have installed all packages necessary:
I have some strange mouse behavior going on with compiz enabled... I can navigate the application menu and click on apps to open them. But it doesn't work when I press the mouse key inside the app unless I first hold down the CTRL or ALT keys.
When I left click inside an app without holding down the ALT or CTRL key, the mouse pointer changes to a hand and I can drag the app around the screen.
Hi,
I have recently installed Gnome shell and made some changes, mostly in Compiz but I guess my problem started after installing Compiz Fusion which I found out doesn't work with Gnome shell. There was the option to change desktop environments from Compiz to Metacity and the other way around. After playing around I realized that all of a sudden my mouse was quite slow.
I'm on Ubuntu 12.10, and I am having trouble with the Ctrl + Alt + KP_PLUS, and Ctrl + Alt + KP_MINUS buttons. Whenever I press that combination it changes my resolution and it really interrupts my work flow.
I have 2 bugs in my Ubuntu 12.04 fresh installation using a Macbook Pro keyboard. Note: I swapped the Ctrl and Cmd keys (Ctrl and Super on regular keyboards), but that should not affect the shortcuts I program.)
First
I changed the Switch application shortcut from Alt-Tab to Ctrl-Tab. It saves this correctly but the change does not seem to take effect. I rebooted and it still doesn't.
I am running a ubuntu 12.04 64 bit system with cinnamon 1.6.
Some keyboard shortcuts such as ctrl+a for select all and ctrl+w for close tab do not seem to work in text editors and text fields.
On pressing ctrl+a the cursor just moves to the 1st character of the text field. however ctrl+a does work elsewhere like in nautilus, firefox (non text fields).
