Acer Aspire 4710 laptop (Intel dual core with Intel graphics) running fully updated #! r20111125. Xorg is constantly using around 4% of the CPU. I have terminator and Iceweasel running. Xorg still uses 4% even when checking it through xterm (so no transparent Terminator and no Iceweasel). Running xcompmgr with default settings. Killing conky seems to lower usage to ~1 to 2%. Is this normal?
CrunchBang, a Linux distribution based on Debian and powered by the lightweight Openbox window manager, designed especially for low-end machines, is now at version 11 R20120924.
CrunchBang 11 R20121015 distribution, codenamed "Waldorf," is based on Wheezy sources, which is the testing branch of Debian.

I want to install Crunchbang 10 on a Fujitsu laptop that has Windows 7, as a dual boot.Tried the live Crunchbang from a USB, works perfectly, except one thing: can't see the Windows partition. I opened gparted, and simply it's not there.
I did a fresh Wheezy netinstall (created new / and /home), added OpenBox and a other packages, and then moved to sid. No #! anywhere. No #! in apt.sources. Installed Iceweasel beta from the Debian Mozilla team repos.Iceweasel homepage is http://crunchbang.org/start:/
For #! you only need perhaps 1 GHz, 512 MB or 1 GB RAM and 40 GB HDD. The most RAM is used for Iceweasel and not for the #!-system ;-) Without Iceweasel you only need perhaps 256 MB RAM.
