Crunchbang for EEE PCs, and the return of the Boot Booster

http://crunchbanglinux.org – I did some forum searching, and it seems that most EEE PC mentions on the forum involve people turning off the boot-booster so they can install #! off a USB.Which makes sense. That was the advice that got it working for me!But now that it's on there, it only just occurred to me; what if you turn the boot-booster back on? Will #! actually boot any faster? Or is that a Windows-only feature? Also, I noticed @Corenominal post back in 2008 regarding CrunchEEE, which I loved the sound of. I'm guessing that project is dead? (HowTos)
