SAINT PAUL, Minn. (May 12, 2010) – Despite the massive distraction of this weekend's theatrical release of Iron Man 2, CodeWeavers, Inc., a leading developer of software products that turn Mac OS X and Linux into Windows-compatible operating systems, today announces it has completed the development of CrossOver Games 9.0 for both Mac and Linux.
CodeWeavers, through Josh Dubois, CrossOver product manager at CodeWeavers, proudly announced a few hours ago, May 1, that the CrossOver 12.2.0 software has been officially released for both Linux and Mac OS X platforms. CrossOver 12.2.0 is here to support the recently released Ubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) operating system from Canonical, which made the application to fail to register itself.
CodeWeavers and Wine-Reviews have put together a special dealcode just for gamers and especially Transgamers. So if your a current or ex Transgaming Cedega customer and you would like to take the leap and switch over to CrossOver Games now is the perfect time to do so.
CodeWeavers announced on July 10 the immediate availability for download of the CrossOver 13.2.0 application for all supported operating systems, including Linux and Mac OS X. CrossOver 13.2.0 brings various stability fixes for games that run with the Performance Enhanced Graphics option enabled and allows users to install the Adobe Acrobat 10 and 11 applications.
CrossOver Linux, an application based on Wine that allows users to install popular Windows applications and PC games on a Linux computer, has been updated to version 14.0 and brings support for a lot of new software.
CrossOver is using Wine as a base, but many developers are working on both projects.
