Summary: how do I create an RDC connection from a Windows 2008 server to another server?
Our client will only allow us to connect to their server via a static IP address (which is fair enough), but unfortunately as we're a very small company we don't have one in the office.
As a work around, we had the connection working through our old Windows 2003 server (dynamic-cloud from 1and1). ..
I'm having a weird problem with my server. The server is inside my network, connected to a 3com switch which is connected to the router that handles the internet connection.
I have RRAS running (Windows 2008 R2) on my server to provide PPTP VPN connection in order to share the server Internet with users.
Users are able to connect to the server and I can see them on Remote Access Client List (RRAS), but when they connect, status is NOT a NAP-Capable and they are unable to connect to the internet.
I don't need NAP and anything like that at all.
I'm currently having a problem connecting remotely to a server.
It is a brand new build Windows 2008 R2, remote users are enabled.
I'm trying to connect from a Windows 7 machine.
Everytime I remotely connect to the server it will stay connected for a matter of seconds (maybe 3-5) and then disconnect and I get the standard old cannot connect and list of reasons it could be.
I need to connect to a Windows server through IIS 8 to configure a website, but I can't create a new connection in my manager.

I have problem connecting to a Windows Server 2008 R2 with Remote Desktop Connection.
Say the server name is 'hello', domain name is 'example.com', and IP is 192.168.0.4. The server and clients reside in the same LAN.
Here's the scenario when connecting to 'hello' with Remote Desktop Connection from a Windows Vista:
Can't connect to 'hello' with account "example\administrator".
