I have created a few symbolic links to replace some broken links in /etc/pam.d. The original links have system_u as the user. The newly created ones somehow have unconfined_u as the user.
I have a directory with symbolic links to other directories. I want to archive the symbolic links, not as links but as archives containing the files of directories they refer to, using tar command. How can I do this?
...i'm having a lot of 404 errors from links on the forums, even links from WHM tips (the "More Info" links in front of options).
Dear cPanel webmasters, can you please check these links ?
Thanks. :)
Hi,
I got a problem with links in Thunderbird.
I have a problem with tar. Taring a folder with a lot of contents, causes the tar to contain hard links to some files, seen with the same name but 0 in size.
The hard links don't exist in the first place. How can I prevent that from happening?
I am using the -T option with either -n or without.
So as an alternative to Recursive scp without following links or creating a giant tar file? (this could be an emergency since the remote files could be deleted any time soon), I'm thinking of deleting all my symbolic links. But then I would like to batch-export them all somewhere so that I can restore them once I'm done with the scp file copying.
Hi,
I would like to use links to view that site and post messages but sometimes I have problem which rely on that it is impossible to log in here from links level. That is, I give my login and password but when I request to that being proceed there appears a site on which there is written something like "Click here if your browser doesn't automatically redirect you".
I have a folder and within it there are many links.
I make those links absolute, so that I can move them about within the folder and they still point to the same data. Relative links would break if I moved them within the folder.
But the problem arises when i move the folder to another system, say an external hard drive or server.
