Ok the topic/subject Im not sure about. But what I am trying or wanting to do, and or know about is. Is it possible to have a domain automatically in some sense park itself on my server?
Meaning if I provide the nameservers to the domains which are private nameservers from one of my existing domains. And my server isn't configured to have that domain as an active domain in some form.
cPanel supports IDN domains and that's great!
but:
1. I cannot use idn domain name in any form - it should be converted to punnycode first.
Would be nice if cPanel could convert idn domains to punnycode automatically and save our time
2.
I have a dedicated Linux server with The Planet / Softlayer.
When creating an addon domain, cpanel defaults to /public_html/addon.com for the root directory for the addon domain. This results in the root directory being /home/acct/public_html/addon.com.
What are the pros and cons of using /addon.com as the root directory instead of /public_html/addon.com?
I need a help on setting-up a custom CNAME records for two sub-domains which will point to main domain name http://www.domain.com/.
http://it.domain.com/ (Italy)
http://fr.domain.com/ (France)
I do not not mean here sub-domain re-direction which can be easily done through cPanel "subdomains".
If I set up a main domain called DOMAIN.COM, then underneath that I have 5 other subdomains added as "add on" domains, for example:
APP1.DOMAIN.COM
APP2.DOMAIN.COM
APP3.DOMAIN.COM
APP4.DOMAIN.COM
APP5.DOMAIN.COM
Then I want to give the main domain and the sub domain an SSL certificate.
Do I need to buy ONE SSL cert or 5? (I would assume 5).
What about IP address?
I want to add the Sub Domain to a working Domain so it becomes test.domain.co.uk.
From Cpanel, I have set up the Sub Domain and it created the folder /public_html/test
I set up an DNS A record for test.domain.co.uk as well, although I am not sure if this is needed?
Viewing "http://www.domain.co.uk/test" works, but "test.domain.co.uk" results in the error

I have a setup where I need a PHPmailer type script to be able to authenticate SMTP from other domains on my server.
E.g.
I have: - two DNS servers: 1.1.1.1 and 2.2.2.2 - domain name: domain.com pointed to 1.1.1.1
I want to point sub domain: sub.domain.com to 2.2.2.2 (obviously www.sub.domain.com too)
on 1.1.1.1 I've create a DNS A record pointing sub.domain.com to 2.2.2.2
accessing sub.domain.com now lead to 2.2.2.2 successfully
the problem is the DNS records on 2.2.2.2 such as CNAME www do not work means access
