http://androidforums.com – So last night I was flashing mods on my S2, and didn't notice I flashed them in the wrong order. I flashed the Patch first before the mod itself. When I rebooted, I cannot access the Settings and I don't have any signal and I get the No Service message. When I dialed *#06#, it says null / null. I do have a back up of my EFS folder here in my laptop, so how do I restore it? Just copy paste it or what? Update: Thanks to CWM having an option to mount Internal Storage, I copied my CWM backup from Laptop to S2 and restored it. Ok, EVERY ics or above rom wipes my imei and renders the phone useless. I'm not a noob by any means, I follow the directions to the letter, and the imei number is toast EVERY time! I even backed it up, restored it... but it still shows just a bunch of stars. What in the world am I doing wrong? The trouble started when I flashed the a mtd jb rom.

I recently flashed from clean rom to paranoid and lost my imei. After doing some researech was able to get both imei and eri restored.

I've got a friend who got a new Captivate from the US. And he flashed CM10 right after getting it, without making a backup of the efs folder. Now, the efs partition is completely empty, and of course it says "Unknown baseband, unknown imei", etc".

I've looked around, but all the imei restore methods seem to require at least one efs file. However in this case we have none.

Hello, I'm posting because need a little help, I was using Legend 5 KK4, but I decide to try Slim ICS or Slim Bean, but everytime I flashed the ROM no phone because no imei no baseband, and the folder /efs is empty. Then I back to stock with Heimdall One click I897UCKK4 and made a backup from /efs folder, after flash again Slim ICS restore /efs bakcup but no imei nor baseband. What can I do?

Hello, I recently bought Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 factory unlocked with installed Jelly Bean 4.1.1 (CyanogenMod 10) and no imei and baseband. I tried everything to fix the issue, but nothing worked. I searched this forum and some user said that I should use jtag to wtie correct efs folder and z3x or sl-box to repair imei etc.

Long story short, I lost my IMEI while updating my Synergy ROM with one of the nightlies but was able to restore it using the IMEI injection method here. I was able to restore service but was stuck on Roaming.

Hi, I am new to xda and i'm also quite new to the flashing process. I have a captivate i896 and successfully flashed a rom on to my phone. However after doing so the phone is unable to connect to my mobile carrier.

I'm helping to get some help from the community on this one. I've already received extensive help from a senior member on here but haven't had any luck yet. I have a T-mo SG3 currently running the fantastic Darthstalker rom. I flashed the latest modem and the next thing you know I don't seem to have a data connection (first at E then G).

I have a backup done with root explorer, that I copied and pasted the files to the sd card. the efs folder has been corrupted and now if I try to paste the file when you restart the phone meeting those corrupt! how should I do?
