Hi ,
I have access to internet connection through an authenticated proxy server.
I got APT to work with this by changing wgetrc and other files.
Third party apps (such as thunderbird, empathy) that access the internet are not able to work with the network connection.
Any pointers on how I can get them to work with authenticated proxy connection would be much appreciated.

We are using a Juniper SA SSL VPN Appliance, version 7.1R9, to allow users VPN connections to the corporate network.
We have written a small program create that checks for common error (being connected to corporate network already, Internet connection not available, Hotspot registration required etc.).
I am pretty new to exposing the WCF services hosted on IIS over internet. I will be deploying a WCF service over IIS(6 or 7) and would like to expose this service over the internet.
I have 2 servers running CentOS 6
I have a server A, that has 2 network cards. eth0 is a private test network. eth1 is the corporate network, where a proxy server must be used to access the internet. On this server I use
export http_proxy=http://proxyserver:3128/
and am able to access the internet.
I have a server B that has 1 network card.
Hi,
i hope this is the right place to post this problem!
I have a server with two different jobs, the first job is openvpn, the second is to be a proxy.
The sever has two network interfaces with two different networks (internet connections).
The first network is the internal network. This network has a 2 mbit internet connection with static ip which should be used to access the openvpn server.
Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my Internet Connection.
Here is the scenario:
My workstation (WinXPSP3) is connected in a Corporate Network and my IP Address is assigned statically and reserved in our DHCP Server.
Hey guys, I've been at this for quite a while, searched all over the internet and came up with nothing. Hopefully someone here much smarter than I am could help me figure this out. I've set up a wireless access point which uses my computer as its dhcp server/internet filter. It also runs all traffic through a squid proxy because I was playing with upside-down-ternet.
'cb-welcome' script fails to detect internet connection under certain conditions.Analysis: A component of cb-welcome, '/usr/lib/lib-cb-welcome/check-internet-connection' script, uses ping to check availability of the remote repository.
When I go to click on NETWORK in the system settings menu, the only option I have is Network Proxy. The Wired Connection and Wireless connection options are gone. Also, can someone tell me how to get the firmware for a wireless connection? This is an acer Aspire 3690 running 12.04. I'm fairly new to Unbintu, thanks for any help you can provide!
