Hi, how can I copy a file into the root. I am new to linux and using fedora 13. I have to install jdk on the linux.
I am using Cent-OS and I am trying to copy a file. I su to root first, then I:
cp test.txt /usr/java/jdk1.7.0_45/jre/lib/management
But I get an input/output error. Why can't I copy this file as root? Is there something that can lock a folder in Linux so root can't change it?
Hi, i've a camera that requires a firmware update, the procedure is simple, copy a file named something.bin into the uSD card root then insert into the camera then turn on, the camera find the file and it updates.
