Hey I'm using rxvt-unicode and having some trouble with copy/paste.I can copy from outside to urxvt with ctrl+c/shift+insI can copy from urxvt to urxvt with ctrl+ins/shift+insI can't copy from urxvt to anywhere else. ctrl+ins doesn't work. I can see this becoming extremely inconvinient for future troubleshooting.I'm on a notebook so drag-with-middle-button is not an option.
How can I copy text in gui (Ctrl+Alt+F7) to terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F1~F6), in any linux distributions.
Also, another question, I'm familiar with putty on windows; in putty, select means copy and right click means paste, that's very simple ways to do copy and paste between terminals. How can I make genome-terminal work like these?
there are plenty of examples how to copy "contents" of a file from command line with the help of xclip or xsel. What i am looking for is to copy file from command line and paste into file explorer. So I will use a command to copy file ,not only the contents, and use CTRL+V to paste it in UI.
The EVO with Ice cream sandwich makes copy and paste very frustrating. I'm trying to copy email notes into a notepad app.
When I copy and paste the text the first time it works fine. When I try to paste it into notepad on the next line the cursor goes back to the last word of the previous line. I want to paste my text on the next line. Why is this doing this? ugh.
Working with clipboard can be like a hell. Sometimes Ctrl+C just don't work and if you copy some text on, say, web browser you can't normally paste in somewhere else. Especially between Terminal and other programs. Sometmies you have to paste with Ctrl+Shift+Insert sometimes Ctrl+V.
