I am using YouTube API to show a video in portrait mode. Upon playing the video and turning the device into landscape mode, the video continues from the spot left off but re-buffers. I am looking for a solution as to how avoid the re-buffering.
I know for a fact its possible since Google provides an example here, and it works flawlessly except I can't seem to make it work with my application.
At first, I thought it was just the youtube app, but today has made me realise that the S3 really is struggling with video on all formats.
Watching youtube via the app, watching youtube via the browser, watching video generally through the browser all give me buffering issues.

Anyone else have issues using the Youtube App in relation to an endless amount of buffering? If i try to watch a HQ video thru the App it has to buffer every 5 seconds or so.....making it pretty much impossible to use. I can however load youtube in a browser, and stream just fine.....leading me to believe the App is the problem.
Whenever I am watching YouTube on wifi it is constantly buffering. I often have to switch off "HD" just finish the damn video. When I'm on 4G its fast and no buffering. I have an N router on fios. It isn't just my wifi its any wifi. I'll post my speeds for wifi and 4G I don't see any reason it should perform so badly over wifi. Anyone else have this issue?

I've been experiencing really slow data speeds today. Typically I can watch a YouTube video in HD with no buffering, but today its buffering on SD (standard def) and super slow at that. Just wondering if its a national, regional, local, or my phone issue. Anyone else noticing speed troubles?

Bandwidth 1400kb down 400kb up (This is only for test so far)
