Indicator privacy is a useful indicator for Unity that gives a overview of the most important privacy settings.
You can quickly disable online search results in dash and recording of Zeitgeist activity, pretty handy if you don't want these features to be 'always on'.
To install Indicator privacy in Ubuntu 12.10, run the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:diesch
So far I tried:
-rm -rf ~/.local/share/zeitgeist
-installing unity-place-applications, unity-place-files
-logout/login
