Contacts Duped w/gMail?

http://androidforums.com – My contacts seem to have doubled up viz: Picasa Web Albums - Pete Cresswell - Misc. Thankfully, the dupes do not seem to have penetrated my contact DB (i.e. they only show up when I bring up Phone | Contacts.... and do not appear when I start my Go Contacts app. In (Android) | Settings | Accounts and sync | xxx@gMail.com | Sync Contacts is disabled although Sync Calendar, Sync Chrome, and Sync Picasa Web albums are enabled. When I log in to the gMail web page the only thing I can see that smells of contacts is "Circles"... and that is empty. My first guess is that my gmail conta (General)

Hello all, I went through this weekend and deleted some contacts from Google that I no longer needed. However, my Evo 4G now won't sync with my google contacts. Whenever I try to Sync I get the message "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." GMail and Calendar will sync, only Contacts won't.

When composing a new message on my Android's gmail, I don't get the list of my gmail contacts automatically. I need to manually enter the whole address.

I've activated the "Sync Contacts" option in the settings, but it fails.

any idea how to fix this??

I am using the NOTE 10.1 and my CONTACTS APP is not working anymore. All i did is selected a different gmail account for my contacts than before as i had migrated all my contacts to this account on my laptop. Someone disabling the current account contact sync feature and enabling the new gmail account contact sync feature has messed up the contacts app.

i have a problem with my contacts on android. I'm using JB on galaxy nexus. I'm not using google/gmail for any of my email/contact synchronisation, which seems to be leading to the following problems.

I have a Galaxy s2 i9100GSMH intl model. In Gmail I have 2291 contacts. When I sync my contacts, my phone only shows 2219. I have wiped the contacts from the phone in Contacts Storage, and gmail (both), and then re-uploaded my contacts .csv file to gmail, then synced again, but same result. I even tried editing my .csv file to get rid of any extra columns, but still didn't work right.

My phone started this today but now contacts seems to stop all the time and Gmail fails to sync. I have deleted the account, readded it, cleared sync, forced stopped contacts.

This still happens any suggestions?

Am just wondering if it is possible to sync a Gmail account's Calendar and Contacts without setting up the email.

i have a tmobile samsung galaxy s3 and i swear ive tried everything to transfer my contacts to my gmail. I've set my phone contacts so only the gmail contacts show, but when i log into my gmail from my laptop it doesnt show any contacts. The contacts on my phone even have the gmail sign next to it, but its just not showing up in the physical gmail.com
