Connection to internet fails after restarting the modem

http://askubuntu.com – Every time I restart my modem, I come across this problem: the modem is shown connected but no internet is available. ... This means that if I restart my modem, I should install a fresh copy of the Ubuntu in order to get access to internet :( My laptop has only Ubuntu 12.04 as its OS; the modem is a ADSL2+ DynaLink RTA1025WE and the browser is Mozilla Firefox. Is there anyone who knows how I can fix this? Thank you. (HowTos)

I have Ubuntu 12.04 and a 4G mobile broadband-modem called, ZTE mf880 ltf usb modem. Every time I loose internet-connection, Ubuntu seem to "loose track" of the modem and I have to pull it out and put it back in again, only to wait for Ubuntu to detect it again.

I using Ubuntu 10.04 desktop edition In the morning, i still can access internet with ASDL modem connection.

I recently downloaded Linux Ubuntu 9.10 (I think that was the number), and I hardwired dierctly into the modem in an attempt to get Internet. The log tells me that "eth0: link is ready," the ifconfig shows completely legit info, and the lspci tells me that the drivers are fine. Yet when I go to the Internet, it won't allow me to go anywhere whatsoever.

Hi, I want to connect to internet using my phone modem on Ubuntu 9.04 . When I create a new connection and all the settings that are required , it shows that you are now connected. But when I try to access the internet ,I cant. I can;t open any page nor can i download and install any package using the apt-get command. now please help me in solving my problem.

Hello I have to network adapter in my ubuntu ( server with desktop interface ) One of them connected to a modem with static IP and another connected to a witless modem ! How i can share my internet connection using my witless modem ?!

This happens often for my ubuntu 12.04.

I'm using ubuntu on my laptop and connect to internet via wifi.

Sometimes even though the connection is established with the modem I'm unable to connect to the internet.

at that times I'm also unable to connect to 192.168.1.1, which should give me the page to my modem even if there is no internet connection to the modem.
