HiFor 6 months everything was just fine.Since few days for every 20-30 minutes my CentOS server (with Oracle DB running on it) drops connections. There is no IP address confl... [by arc_367]
I'm running a CentOS release 5.5 (Final) server running the LAMP stack amongst other things.
When working on a web project with numerous active connections to the server box (Plesk over HTTP, SSH and FTP), the server randomly drops the connection. When this happens, the box essentially becomes invisible to me from my current location until I reset my local broadband connection.
I have server with VPS node. On this server created four VPS. One of VPS is cPanel shared hosting server. All works fine about 20 days. But from 26 Oct. cPanel VPS server very not stable.
Does not connect to SSH from the outside (connections refused). On cPanel VPS the sites are not available. The panel is available, then no. On the VPS CentOS 6.4. Debian on the node 7.
We've been having issues on one of our CentOS 6 servers and one of the java programs that runs on it. As the software hasn't caused issues in the past, I'm wondering if its a problem with the CentOS server.
Basically, the software drops it's tcp connection and won't reconnect, timing out on each occasion.
It seems that my internet connection is very unstable in ubuntu. In Windows it's fine, but in ubuntu, the connection seems to drop often at random times as I'm surfing the web. It drops for about 15-20 seconds before reconnecting. I also get this connection drop immediately after opening Google Chrome, almost every time.
I'm running ubuntu on a Core 2 Quad PC, so the OS itself is zippy.
