connected through wifi but unable to browse and use installed apps

Hi guys please help me,

I can connect with wifi, but Im unable to browse using any browser and so as my installed apps like facebook, google playstore,Ym etc. Whenever i try to browse an error appeared that i must check my wifi network settings. when I try to use my facebook apps it says "connection lost". Wifi signal is great though.. :c

My OS is android gingerbread.

Hello! I'm new to the Android phones and need some help. I connected my LG Optimus S to my home wifi network in order to save on data use with my carrier. I'm able to use the web with no problem if I use the browser but unable to download apps from Google Play. The downloading bar does not move or show any progress.

when i first my Samsung Galaxy Y S5360, i have no problems browsing via wifi, open nor password protected networks.

after i downloaded several apps, i can connect, but cannot browse, even at mcdonald's or other free wifi services.

kindly help.

p.s. my wife owns the same phone, and we have wifi at home. she can connect and browse, i can't.

Hey everyone WiFi is not working on my ace-i it shows connected and i can even browse internet for the first few seconds but then i cant connect and when i open play store it says connection has timed out please help me i am using my homes WiFi and my other android phones and laptops can connect and browse except this one

i have micromax ninja A57 i am not able to connect to internat via wifi whenever i connect then the status will show connected but when i open the browser or facebook ERROR comes

on iOS there is an app called "MyWi". One of its features is "Wifi Sharing". What this does is basically tethering - but using your wifi instead of data.

This can be useful for say.. I have an android phone and an old android phone. I want to play an online MMO on them both.

Just noticed something odd this last few days. The statusbar WiFi icon is dimmed; but I'm connected on WiFi just fine. I can browse, and the WiFi settings is showing all is OK. As in, I'm still connected to my SSID.

Anyone experienced this? What's the best way for me to pull logs? I'm a bit of an Android n00b.

I currently have a jailbroken iPhone 4 and am about to get a HTC One. I used MyWi to tether a WiFi signal while connected to my house's WiFi network to my laptop via USB. I want to be able to do this with Android as well. Any apps, tips, etc? Thanks

I have a new S3 and any time it sees a new wifi signal it asks if I want to configure a wifi hotspot.

It doesn't ask if I want to connect to a wifi network, but rather if I want to configure a wifi hotspot.

I have network notification unchecked in the advanced wifi settings so it should not notify me of new wifi hotspots and I have tethering off.
