Swift Linux 0.0.3 is now available at http://www.swiftlinux.org . Swift Linux is based on the full version of antiX Linux for the 686 processor. Swift Linux is a very lightweight AND user-friendly distro that uses the large Debian repository. Other distros can compete with Swift Linux on one or even two of these criteria, but NONE can compete with Swift Linux on all three.
I am installing swift object-server on ubuntu 12.04 machine and getting some problems.
I've got following error when installing swift:
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/swift/object.ring.gz'
I am not getting how to create/decide ZONE, DEVICE and use it in following command:
swift-ring-builder account.builder add z<ZONE>-<STORAGE_LOCAL_NET_IP>:6002/<DEVICE>
BACK STORY:
I have a script build.py . (It's for creating the ISO file for a special edition of Swift Linux.) This build.py script executes the mintConstructor.py script that I use to modify the Regular Swift Linux ISO to get the special edition Swift Linux ISO.
For those of you who like swift key like myself then you must try this.this is swift key on steroids. Somebody just pleaded with me to give this keyboard a try and I am blown away. FYI has top row numbers.
Note 2, it's true, ,size is everything!
While installing my third OS (I have XP & Swift Linux on sda, & #! on sdb), I foolishly decided not to install the Swift bootloader. Now, while grub seems to work, it doesn't see Swift & I can't find /grub/menu.lst. The boot flag is on the windows portion of the first hd. Any ideas?
