http://forums.opensuse.org – Hello Community, I have installed ssmtp. I have configured the ssmtp.conf file as follows: _____________________________________ # A system wide configuration is optional. # If it exists, it usually defines a default account. # This allows msmtp o be used like /usr/sbin/sendmail. account gmail # The SMTP smarthost. host smtp.gmail.com port 587 protocol smtp auth on from [email protected] user [email protected] password password # Construct envelope from addresses of the form "[email protected]". # Without this, envelope from addresses will just contain the user name, # without a domain part. # maildomain oursite.example mailhub=smtp.gmail.com:587 UseTLS=YES # Use TLS. tls on tls_certcheck off # tls_starttls on # tls_trust_file /etc/ssl/certs/ca.pem # Syslog logging with facility LOG_MAIL instead of the default LOG_USER. syslog LOG_MAIL # Set a default account account default : gmail _________________________________________ and then configured the revaliases file as follows: ____________________________ # sSMTP aliases # # Format: local_account:outgoing_address:mailhub # # Example: root:[email protected]:mailhub.your.domain[:port] # where [:port] is an optional port number that defaults to 25. root:[email protected]:smtp.gmail.com:587 localusername:[email protected]:smtp.gmail.com:587 ______________________________________ BUT when i go to console and type : $ ssmtp [email protected] hello this is a test [ctrl+d] I get the following error message: SSL_connect: Success ssmtp: Cannot open smtp.gmail.com:587 Any ideas how I can fix the problem?
