hello dear friends
this is the question of the day: which way should i port over the fz-credentials and password
i ve got two lap-tops.
on one there runs filezilla on opensuse 12.2
on a fresh installed laptop - i ve installed opensuse12.3 - and a brandnew version of filezilla
then i exportet a file from filezilla - a xml-file - this contains al lot of data.
well - after the import of the file
I am unable to connect to the server with filezilla but with winscp I am able to connect. Both filezilla and winscp connect using port 22. Why is filezilla unable to connect to the server?
Filezilla can't connect with ftp server and I try with other client like as gFTP and I don't have any problem.
Filezilla always give me a Timeout!
Thanks
A very good day to all of you .
Yesterday i registered with byethost11.com and registered for free hosting service .
The registration was done successfully and they provided me with the hostname , username , password .
Now my question is that ,
I could not able to connect to them using ssh option from my terminal .
(I could able to connect to it using FileZilla , winscp )
I am usiing Ubuntu 12
I have created an RSA private key using PuTTYgen. When I try to use it, I am notified that I can't use this encrypted key in Filezilla, so from the documentation I found that I need to use the Pageant tool. Now the problem is I am using Fedora (the latest version), how can I install Pageant? Is there any equivalent of Pageant out there? I am not good with Linux so I need a GUI method.
FileZilla, a fast and reliable cross-platform FTP, FTPS and SFTP client with lots of features and an easy-to-use graphical interface, has just reached version 3.6.0.
FileZilla 3.6.0 has just a few minor changes, fixing a crash that was introduced in the 3.5.3 version and a bug that occurred on IPv6-only hosts.

I setup a proftpd server that uses TLS/SSL certificate for authentication.
Everything works well when I connect through lftp or Filezilla (with explicit connection).
But once I attempt connecting with simple ftp connection from Filezilla, the USER command ends with the 550 response (SSL/TLS required).
