Complete backup including kernel

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Is there a way to make a complete backup of my TF101, because as far as I know CWM does not include the kernel in the backup. I would like to try some ROM's and kernels, but before I start I would like to make a full backup of my tablet, so I can always restore it back to the state it is right now. If there is a seperare tool to only backup the kernel, this would also be great :) (HowTos)

I'm trying to setup a backup script on Ubuntu. Every day I want to copy my local source directory to a backup directory on a remote server uniquely named with the date. (e.g., backup-jan1/, backup-jan2/, etc) It should store a mirror of the earliest state and use difference files to recreate the new backup points.

This is pretty simple with rsync.

ive read in the other threads that we should be doing backup when flashing kernels. how important is it to backup for just flashing a kernel? is it even worth it? Im gonna be flashing Siyah Kernel

I heard nandroid only backups phone settings? did i understand it correctly?

Is it better to root first before doing backup?

I'm S-On and want to use TWRP 2.0 instead of 4-EXT because 4-ext has caused me problems in the past and I'd like a more stable alternative. If I make a backup of my current rom with TWRP 2 would everything work when I restore the backup? (Including the kernel)?

Note: I already know how to flash kernels with adb and don't want to do S-Off. So please lets be on topic :)

he everyone I have 2 quick questions
