Is it still not possible to adjust transparency/colour of panel in KDE4??????>:(
I am sure kde3.5 was far more configurable, intuitive and user friendly....
Starting with kde4, trying to connect via "sftp" to another opensuse box requires multiple authentication attempts (~3x) before finally going through. It never was a problem in kde3.
Coincidentally, I have similar issue with freenx server and NX client (kde4 on both ends). I wonder if this is related issue. Again, never had issue when using kde3.
Hi.
I've installed those updates :
glibc-2.7-i486-19_slack12.2
glibc-2.9_multilib-x86_64-5alien_slack13.0
Now many kde3 related apps crashes, forcing me to xkill and kill PID.
I can't duplicate konqueror windows anymore, using the blue "k" icon top right. The window freezes.

Amarok 1.4 supports ipod
I have a client Box with kde4 and Amarok 1.4 - The result ATM is not so good and I didn't like bringing in old kde3 stuff. The issue is actually that it is skipping the first part of each track when playing from a playlist. But I'll not have my hands on the Box again until Wednesday.
When ripping audio CDs with K3b and using file type "mp3 (lame)" all mp3 files are empty (file size=0 byte).
Also K3b tends to crash after having created like 5 to 10 empty files....
With other output formats, like wav, K3b does work nicely however.
While testing new gigabit-switch, I noticed
that file transfer through KIO sftp:/ is much slower in KDE 4 (.3.4) in my system compared to KDE 3. I use openSUSE 11.2
Hei,
I am in a bit tricky situation.
I recently installed OS11.2, earlier I was on 11.0. With the introduction of ext4 file-system I decided to re-format all my drives/partitions when 'upgrading' except for one, which I always has had as a multimedia mount on my /home/xxx directory. On OS11.0 I used kde3 now I am on kde4.
I just upgraded from 11.2 to 11.3 by using the DVD. I was very impressed by how well it coped with my somewhat hacked system. I had to reinstall the Nvidia proprietary drivers(following the nomodeset instructions), otherwise there was very little else to clean up.
