I need some help with an android project I am working on. I am trying to use switch preferences to send a certain text. Basically, it the user switches the switch from off to on, I want the phone to send a text saying "on". Then when the user turns the switch from on to off, it sends a text saying "off".
This is a very simplified version of my problem. Suppose I have a text file containing several places the code 20091a or 20092a or 20093a. I'm wishing to surround all this code by the text <code></code>.
I just picked up my S4 today and I can receive but not send text messages. I have tried on wifi and on 4g. Also with stock messaging app and handcent. I have also turned the ohone off and back on. Any other hints/suggestions or maybe a fii do get a kessage failed to send pop up, but no error code or reason.
I have code to send text and multiple image in one request to server, my case is, I loop through local db to get the data and multiple image so I can use addPart(key, textdata); for the text data and addPart(key, filename, inputstream, "application/octet-stream"); for the image data. But the problem is when I have more than one image in one request I only able to send one of them.
my app is sideloaded which means it is not on google play store. when it comes to update, it requires users to manually download the apk and replace the previous.
is it possible that I can have majority of my code on my server and have app to pull then update itself? app would only have limited code in order to pull source code from server and all the necessary settings/permissions in manifest.
