after trying to enable mercurial apache web access on my Ubuntu Server 12.04 box, I've got a 403 Forbidden error when accessing http://my.site.com/mercurial with log:
[Tue Sep 04 01:20:22 2012] [error] [client X.X.X.X] client
denied by server configuration: /mercurial/hgweb.cgi
I have added this to /etc/apache2/sites-available/default
ScriptAliasMatch ^/mercurial(.*) /mercurial/hgweb
I have an apache server with 2 sites on it. When I load the IP of the server, it loads up one site, but I'd like it to load the other. I am not running cpanel or plesk, just a basic redhat box with apache and virtual servers.
I can't seem to recall how I can control what configuration to change in order to change where the IP points to when I access it.
Can you help?
I'm using mod-rpaf with Apache 2.4 and it's working properly (showing the real client IP's) in my Apache access_log... but not in my error_log.
I have a client who's been having problems with hes site, the server doesn't seem to want to load hes site in certain countries, I mean other sites are fine. But this site (technologyhub.org) just seems to want to load only in the US and Canada locals, Europe, the UK, Asia etc, all seem to be blocked (been like this for a week now). Its strange I've checked over the server.. It seems fine.
Background
I have recently developed a MVC application for a client and they would like to host it, along with a few other apps on the same server.
I am more of a developer than a server admin, but my instinct was to set up a new site in IIS with it's own sub-domain binding.
The client, however, would like to instead create a virtual directory in the default site that points to the application.
Currently I am using shared hosting via justhost.com. but my site is slow whenever high traffic.
I will switch my site to linode server. But I could not set subdomain on debian nginx server.
I could not enable multidomain.
can you give me information about virtual host and sites-available and sites-enable settings.
My site frequently displays 500 Internal Server Error. Restarting apache, brings the site back to normal state. Other sites running on the same server does not have this issue. Apache error log have no information related to this. The apache loglevel of this site is set as "warn".
What may be the reason for this ?
My site is written on PHP and deployed in linux server.
A Virtual Private Server can be treated as a small dedicated server unit which have its own set of processes and own set of system resources to run your official site or ecommerce site or a web portal in its virtually dedicated web environment.
Site A is hosted in godaddy hosting and I used both FTP/achieve download the content of the whole folder and place it into my WAMP windows server.
Here is a quick rundown of what I did:
Created a new database on windows hosting and imported Site B's
database into it.
