My device is not rooted: I have rooted it before, but I did a full factory reset using the Nexus Factory Images. Root Checker tells me it's not rooted, and SuperSU tells me that it cannot find SU Binaries. However, when using multiple file managers, they can all see the '/' folder, and all the folders and files beneath it. I thought that root was required to do this.

Hi all, friend just sold me his old s3, I've got it rooted now with twrp and cm11 4.4.4. I was wondering what forum I should use for this device? Do the i9000 and this device share the same forum? I just want to look through ROMs for this specific phone. Thanks. :)

I have a rooted Galaxy S4 that I will be retiring in a couple of weeks. I've noticed that even when I do a factory reset/wipe from the command prompt residual files and folders remain on the card. How do I completely wipe out all folders and files so that when I install a fresh ROM there is nothing from my previous install available?
I have a rooted Galaxy S3 GT-i9300 with Android 4.3.
I've rooted it using this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gYjoW22h7c
Now, I would like to erase all the data, but don't loose the root access.
Originally, I was going to go to Settings and press Factory Reset, as I used to do before I rooted the device.
Earlier I had a rooted Samsung S4 but I've now changed to an LG G3 that is not rooted at the moment. I'm happy with my non rooted phone except for one thing, earlier when I used the "Clean Master" app it cleared the notification area apps also, it doesn't do that now and I find that quite annoying.
