Basically, i installed cinelerra-cv, and it downloaded and installed fine, but where is it? Normally i can press the launcher button and type in the name, but its not showing up!
Here is a simple patch for Cinelerra 4.5 from Heroine Virtual

extract the archive and place the patch in the cinelerra-4.5 directory, open a terminal in that directory and
patch -p1 < cinelerra.patch
basically the speech_tools were not up to gcc standards
But that led to the problem that the package "libmpeg3cine" could not be installed because some files were already installed by package "mpeg3-utils". The package system seemed broken because of a defective package.
I have Cinelerra installed and I have some problems:1) No sound: I use OSS2) Preferences Windows is too large, and I cannot see the buttons at the endAny ideas? I have googled and some people say to use gconf-editor and uncheck contrain_y through Apps\compiz ..... but I have not the entry compiz.....
I recently watched Revolution OS and have become a huge fan of the Linux movement. I am running Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamnder).
I tried installing Cinelerra and have read the past thread for installing it and still can't figure it out. When I type the command "sudo apt-get install cinelerra" this comes up:
I have to agree with the previous poster, cinelerra is the way to go, if you want or need professional capabilities.What's more is that cinelerra package is available within the standard CrunchBang repositories.
