https://bbs.archlinux.org – Hello i'm occasionally using cinelerra (the video editor). After updating to gnome 3 i found the default 31x32 icon inconsistent with the given visual experience. So i quickly made my own one with gimp, merging the reel from the gnome video-x-generic icon with the cinelerra heroine.Besides sharing this icon with you, i want to add this is basically the first one i've ever made, and i would really appreciate further hints and corrections. How to make it look more tango-ish? Why do the borders look awkward on a bright surface? Probably, creating an icon as a raster graphic was a fail i (HowTos)

[ubuntu] Trash Icon Gone... 30 weeks 4 days ago

Sorry guys if its a repost.

I am new to Ubuntu, using Ubuntu 12.04. What happened is that i right clicked the trash icon, clicked the icon and changed it to some icon i downloaded from internet. After changing it, i realized that i does not work properly. I since yday, i have been trying to change it back to the default icon. I deleted the downloaded icon and now it shows just a white icon.

Gimp Won't Open! 2 years 40 weeks ago

That's basically all I know. I run a KDE desktop and have not recently upgraded. However, for some odd reason, Gimp just won't come up. I see the bouncy Gimp icon next to my cursor and I see a task manager icon at the bottom of my screen but after about 15 seconds, the icon leaves and nothing ever happens. I am a web designer and Gimp is a must have!

So. I quickly got tired of Unity and at first wanted Gnome 2, but instead, I came across Gnome 3.4.1 and found some cool things like Gnome Tweak Tool and Gnome Shell Extensions.

I'm still trying to tweak Gnome and I was wondering if any of these are possible:

The Battery Icon is way too small.

I would like to replace the "f" icon in the top left menu bar in gnome. I've understood the icon is named start-here.png and I replaced it by my own icon in every folder I've found it. And I rebooted the system. But I still have the "f" icon in the menu bar. Has someone successfully replaced this icon and how to do it ?

Hello everybody,I'm trying to figure this out but I can't by myself.

As you read, my cinelerra doesn't show any video I add to it. It doesn't show the clip bars in the video tracks nor show the video either in the viewer or in the composer.

The ubuntu I have is 11.10, and the cinelerra version I have now 1:2.2-0-3.

Do you have any ideea what's going on? Thanks

I am new to ubuntu, I installed cinelerra through these steps

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cinelerra-ppa/ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install cinelerra

now i want to uninstall it, how is it done?

So for some reason (I feel a bit of deja vu with this) my chromium-browser is displaying as a default/blank icon instead of the proper one.I found the proper icon in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/chromium.svgIt's not being used, for example:no chromium icon by Mark Mrwizard, on FlickrThere's bound to be a simple way to just point the application to that icon address.
