chroot ---> su vs. login inside of a chroot

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hi. I have a question about chroot and su from within chroot! How is it that Midnight Commander running inside of my chroot discovers the name of my non-chroot user account and also ignores the chroot user account? This leads to the following error message: "Cannot create /home/dano/.config/mc directory" which shows that M.C. somehow receives environment information from outside of the chroot since the user 'dano' does not exist inside of the chroot environment. The name 'dano' is a user outside the chroot. The name 'chdano' is the user inside of the chroot. The error in MC occ (HowTos)
