Google just launched an update to Chrome for Android that provides the browser with a strengthened sandbox. Google says this will help ensure that malicious mobile sites remain contained and can’t impact the entire browser. It’s worth noting, though, that this enhanced sandbox will only be available to Android 4.1 Jellybean users.

Chrome is one of the most utilized web browsers on the market. Google's Chrome may be a relatively new entrant in the browser arena, but already it's edged past Apple's long-standing Safari to assume the third-place spot. That's according to market researcher Net Applications, which recently released year-end data indicating that Chrome now accounts for 4.63 percent of the browser market.
