I just installed Google Chrome, on Linux Mint 14 64-bit, and the Flash plugin's sound doesn't work.
Moved to recurring.
I'm having all of the kinds of problems I expected from Flash once Adobe dropped Linux support. However, I'm having them in Chrome with Pepper Flash, while Mozilla's outdated plugin still works for everything. Anyone else feeling this?
First the fullscreen feature broke. It still has yet to be fixed.
Hi,the google-talkplugin in combination with the google-chrome-dev I am affecting an 100%+ CPU usage of the pluginwhen starting a google+ hangout. The small webcam preview comes with very bad resolution and the hangout is unusablewith this high cpu usage.
I have an ATI 9200SE and as I have reported before the most recent versions of flash from 11.2 onwards have not worked at all for me.
I am suddenly unable to get any audio from the google talk plugin (installed from aur) when using google hangouts. It used to work, and today it does not. All other applications can play sounds just fine. I am using alsa but also have pulse audio installed as it is a dependency for many applications.
Adobe is no longer releasing new versions of Flash Player for Linux with version 11.2 being last release.
The only way to get latest Flash Player in Linux is to use Chrome, as Adobe has partnered with Google to distribute Flash player as a pre-installed plugin in Chrome.
I use Kubuntu 12.04 LTS, and in Firefox and Chromium the Adobe Flash plugin will not play audio.
Google Chrome's plugin works, but I don't really like Chrome/Chromium, I installed Chromium only to test it.
I tried various versions of the plugin and both adoble-flashplayer and flashplugin-installer. Tried the "delete .pulse and create some files" fix and didn't worked too.
Google has just released the new version of its popular web browser. Welcome to Google Chrome 5.0.375.3. In this new version, Google include many fixes and new capabilities. Now, flash support is activated by default.
If you want to have Flash support in Google Crome, the Linux version, you can enable it like this:Make a plugins directory in the Google Chrome folder
sudo mkdir /opt/google/chrome/pluginscd to it
